Mythfilldatabase not updating

Would everyone experiencing this bug please: Open a terminal and run "ps -ae | grep mythfilldatabase".This will tell us if mfdb is finishing and closing cleanly, or whether it is leaving something behind.-- Nick Morrott Myth TV Official wiki: Myth TV users list archive: "An investment in knowledge always pays the best interest." - Benjamin Franklin _______________________________________________ mythtv-users mailing list [email protected] I can confirm similar behaviour, fails on automatic run but works fine run manually.

The directory is in all of my regular users' path (including root), but that appears to be insufficient for this to work._______________________________________________ mythtv-users mailing list [email protected] But I wonder if it is in the path when mythbackend runs mythfilldatabase. _______________________________________________ mythtv-users mailing list [email protected] It would seem not.You may need to upgrade to the latest version of XMLTV.2008-07-27 .727 MSql Query: SELECT MAX(endtime) FROM program p LEFT JOIN channel c ON p.chanid=c.chanid WHERE c.sourceid= 1 AND manualid = 0; 2008-07-27 .728 MSql Query: SELECT MAX(endtime) FROM program p LEFT JOIN channel c ON p.chanid=c.chanid WHERE c.sourceid= 2 AND manualid = 0; 2008-07-27 .728 Source 2 configured with no grabber. 2008-07-27 .729 MSql Query: UPDATE settings SET data ='2008-07-27 ' WHERE value='mythfilldatabase Last Run Start' OR value d' 2008-07-27 .741 MSql Query: UPDATE settings SET data ='mythfilldatabase r an, but did not insert any new data into the Guide for 1 of 2 sources.I suspect that when it leaves a thread behind, any new call fails with the 'failed to insert new data' message.

(Symptom being 'days of available listings' decreases by one.) This will help pinpoint the bug, I think.

Geoff _______________________________________________ mythtv-users mailing list [email protected] Looks like this is fixed for me, I symlinked tv_grab_uk_rt to /usr/bin/ and it now runs automatically with no problem.

Geoff _______________________________________________ mythtv-users mailing list [email protected] Sorry no processes running for me at the moment.

_______________________________________________ mythtv-users mailing list [email protected] It doesn't seem very likely that this issue is still around, since it was fixed a year ago, but for me it produced the symptoms you're seeing so I thought I'd mention it. I can run mythfilldatabase in a terminal, and it finishes properly. Unfortunately, there are no useful entries in the mfdb log.

However if I run mythfilldatabase manually ( but as the mythtv user) it works correctly bringing in 14 days.
