I, too, will join in this search for the Holy Gruel. I raised my 3 children on it and they loved it also. I have dreams of finding it in the cereal island also and look everytime I shop for ceral. So I'm not the only one lusting for Fortified Oak Flakes! I'll make sure to forward your information onto the appropriate staff.I ate a lot of it about 1973 /- and last saw a box in Feb. Thanks for the tips about Toasted Oat Flakes and Oat Bran Flakes. :(Ever since I arrived in the USA (back in the late 60s) POST brand OAT FLAKES was my favorite. I had it for breakfast, took a bowlful to my place of work and would pour milk and eat it at noon, and certainly would not retire to bed without a large bowl of it with whole milk - mmm how delicious was it!! I wonder why such a high quality, nourishing and TASTY product was discontinued! That's what I wanted to say myself when I ran across your comment. I've been hanging on to a "no expiration date" coupon for years (and I really mean yeeeaaarrrs) taking it out every once and a while and searching the stores. This time I was wondering If I should bother keeping it. Again, thanks for contacting us, and I hope you'll continue to enjoy our products. And I thought I was the only one that ate that cereal. Wise up and feed the public the oat they will forever enjoy!!! I grew up loving Post Oat Flakes and even knowing they were discontinued, I still scan every supermarket aisle in hopes that a box might show up!

I bet if the demand were great enough they would reconsider, since money talks.Anyone have any bright ideas on what we could/should all do?Life has never the same without Post Fortified Oat Flakes. I have been looking for it for years, until I found this website. As kids we couldnt get Mom to buy it frequently enough because we finished the box the First morning we had it.She would then buy Wheaties or Cheerios and they would last for 2 months. That's what my 4 children called them when they were too little to say "Fortified Oat Flakes" and do we ever miss them.I ate my share of this great cereal, I had my wife buy me 3 and 4 boxes at a time. I have yet to find a cereal that even comes close to those tasty morsels! I am thinking that there must be a HUGE "silent majority" that would love to have Fortified Oat Flakes back. I'd been searching for FOF (with no luck)for quite some time and I finally did break down and tried some of the other Oat Flake type cereals but they just didn't do it for me...they've all screwed it up by adding so many other flavors and ingredients! FOF was my bedtime snack for the longest time when it suddenly disappeared without a trace. OMG...thank goodness there are other FOF lovers out there who can feel my pain!

We ought to organize as a group and lobby Post to get this cereal back. Being a TJ's product there's no junk in them either. I'd give anything for Fortified Oat Flakes to be back on the market. I agree we should band together and beg ANY cereal company to bring it back! I thought I was the only one out here pining away for my old favorites. My mom and I are sitting here wondering if we could get some so I logged on to find a few select group of FOF lovers... Part of the charm of FOFs I thought was that they were so light and crispy. The tough part comes when we have to share the news that the product you're trying to find has been discontinued, as you are aware. If products don't seem to be popular with our consumers, and demand starts to drop, a decision is made to discontinue the item.Don't listen to those creeps who tell you "But it's the dioxin that gives them that special flavor! You only needed a small amount cuz it was "concentrated" plus it had lots of iron. I was eating a bowl of Life for supper tonight..lol, and I was recalling that sweet taste of fortified oats, I got online just to see if I could order a case..To my surprise and dissapointment I am unable to get that little box of Post flakes that made my day back in the 90's....I've found it at health food/organic food stores such as Whole Foods and Wild Oats. Trader Joe's is now in Ohio so I will have to try Toasted Oatmeal Flakes that other people have recommended and do my own taste test.
